I Absolutely love being asked to go to new locations when I photograph. It is like being able to travel while working in a career I love. What can be better than that? Jill and Tom picked Spencer State Park to photograph their engagement pictures. They are both from the Boston area but went to College in Western MA and are getting married at Zukas Hilltop Barn in Spencer. I din’t really know what to expect. State Parks can be a little on the dark side with trees and woods, not a lot of options to photograph. We were all pleasantly surprised by the location. There were beautiful stone walls, nice fields, water, bridges and, FROGS:) We even made a quick stop in a beautiful pasture as we were heading home for the day. Congratulations Jill & Tom. I can’t wait to photograph your wedding in another beautiful location!
Friday, August 29, 2014 dawned clear and bright for the spectacular wedding of Cassie & Nate. And, of course Jocelyn too:) I was so excited to photograph their wedding because they had put so much time and effort into creating their country themed wedding. Cassie & Nate had wood pieces cut and designed for each table, mason jars full of beautiful daisy’s and an incredible cupcake tree made by a family member. And that only lists a few of the many details. So much love and work was put into these incredible details to create this memorable day and of course, a style that was all their own. Plus, what a fabulous location. Rolling fields, a farmhouse as a bridal suite and a barn to celebrate their party in. Didn’t get much better than all that! Cassie & Nate, I wish you both and Jocelyn all that life has to offer. You are a beautiful family and I wish you every happiness. Congratulations and much love.
What a beautiful day for a wedding this past Saturday. The sky was blue with puffy cotton candy clouds, not a drop of rain in sight. We experienced unbelievably gorgeous dry weather for an early August wedding. We couldn’t have asked for a more spectacular day. Pino & Beth joined hands and hearts at Saint Cecilia church in Wilbraham. The church lifted in song and love for this intimate ceremony. Pino and Beth enjoyed a wonderful gathering at The Wilbraham Country Club. We got to even drive a few golf carts for our tour around the Tees. Enjoy their images as they tell the story of this wonderful couples day.
It is with great pleasure and happiness that I am able to show case the images from Andrea and Jeff’s wedding. I had asked Jeff and Andrea both what they had found in each other as a life partner. It is with these responses that I write this blog. Jeff was quick to tell me about his grandparents relationship. It was such an ideal and loving relationship it was something Jeff thought he would never be able to find in his life. Then he met Andrea and he just knew he had found…the one! Andrea was given Jeff’s grandmother’s ring to wear as the “something borrowed” part of their wedding. It truly signify’s the ideal that Jeff had always carried in his heart about finding his true soul mate like his grandparents had. Andrea, being more thoughtful, explained, that they have a special kind of connection that is hard to find. Their first dance tells of the feelings that Andrea expressed about Jeff. Who I am With You by Chris Young was that song. “Jeff brings out the best in me and I in him. I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with him.”
Welcome to Pino & Bethanne’s engagements session. Bethanne grew up in this vacation home on Quacumquasit Lake in Sturbridge. She spent the summers of her youth in this wonderful location and now spends quality time with the man of her dreams in this same location. They enjoy kayaking, swimming and canoeing on South pond and love getting up in the morning to this view and their morning coffee on the deck. A totally relaxing way to start off your day if I do say so myself!
Welcome to Joanna & Ivan’s wedding blog. It is with great pleasure that I am able to write this blog so quickly after their wedding. I began as a film and slide photographer in the early years of my career which affords me the luxury of “getting it right in the camera”. My editing is already complete without spending countless hours in front of the computer. Phew, I would much rather be behind my camera working with my next client than in my office looking at a monitor. So, our story begins…. It was a beautiful day this past Saturday for a wedding. It was not too warm or humid which is a rare luxury for July in New England. The bride was beautiful and the groom so dashing. Their wedding sermon focused on love and respect for which this couple are truly a role model. The love and friendship they displayed towards their friends and family was evident in the images taken that day. I feel so very blessed to have been a small part of their spectacular day. Enjoy their love story and fairy tale wedding.
There is one friend in the life of each of us who seems not a separate person, however dear and beloved, but an expansion, an interpretation, of one’s self, the very meaning of one’s soul. ~Edith Wharton
I had the privileged of photographing Stephanie & Drew’s engagement session this past weekend while they were home on a short break from Indiana. Both born and raised in Wilbraham, MA they went to Minnechaug Regional High School together as well as The University of Mass in Amherst. I asked them how long they had been dating and was so nicely surprised to be told, ” since seventh grade”. What a marvelous friendship they have woven for themselves which is why I felt the need to have a quote to start this blog. It surely describes the relationship they share as a couple. Nothing mushy or overbearing but a profound sense of friendship and connection. The wedding is sure to be a truly wonderful unity of friendship and love.
