Karen Geaghan Photography / Wilbraham Newborn Photographer / Genevieve

Welcome to the most darling forth baby girl to be born into this beautiful family!  Evie, I think that may be the way Mari spells it, was a sweet content little child to photograph.  Once we got her quieted and cozy warm….snug as a bug in a rug, one might add, we were able to move her around into many different set ups. I did however forget to warm my mom about the temperature that I keep the babies to help them sleep.  Poor mom needed several hours to cool down after I warmed “her” up in addition to my little client!  Thank yo mom for your patience and fortitude!IMG_0020C2014-07-30_0007IMG_00472014-07-30_0006IMG_0035C2014-07-30_0008IMG_0009CIMG_0071C

Wilbraham, MA / Baby Photography/ Miss Olivia turns ONE

I write this blog with a happy heart but also with a twinge of sadness that my time with Olivia is coming to an end.  Olivia was a “Grow with me” baby plan child.  She began her photographic journey as a newborn after her birth on July 2, 2013.  And yes, today, Olivia turns ONE! She had a four, eight and twelve month session in addition to her newborn session which ended her one year plan.  It culminates about the time of the child’s first birthday.  Most parents chose to combine a cake smash with their one year images. I so enjoy watching these children grow into toddlers.  It is so exciting and refreshing to relive the first year through these children.  My children are so much older but it truly seems like just yesterday that they were this small. I remember the first steps, learning to talk ,the tantrums and unique quirks that remain with them to this day, all the excitement of that first year. How precious!  Olivia, you are a beautiful little girl grown from the tiny little precious newborn last July.  I wish you every happiness life has to offer.  May the stars continue to twinkle, the moon continue to glow and may every wish and dream be realized as you emerge into a happy little toddler.  Happy Birthday my little Angel<3 and, oh my, I actually have tears in my eyes…..

Springfield, MA / Forest Park / Sheila & Marquis Engagement Session

Sheila & Marquis came to me through a referral site I use on the internet called Thumbtack.  It was a true blessing to meet them both because they honestly give me the best laughs possible and are such a sweet couple.  I truly can’t wait for the wedding.  They also bring Sheila’s dad to all the meetings we have had and he was my light helper at our recent engagement session.  Thanks Dad for working with me! You were a trouper.  And to Sheila’s sister and boyfriend, you helped as well carrying “my stuff”.  Thank you , thank you!!! I hope you all had fun as well and learned a thing or two:)

A Mix of Glamour & Boudoir Photography

I was recently asked to photograph a bridal boudoir session.  It seems to be an up and coming trend in wedding photography.  As always, I replied absolutely, yes,  to photograph in a manner which was relatively new to me.  I am always looking for ways to experiment with light, different styles of photography and various subjects.  This was just another one of those opportunities to do just that. I thoroughly enjoy photographing women.  I love the feeling of empowerment they gain from looking and feeling beautiful in their images.  It does my heart glad to be able to offer my art in this manner.IMG_0045-EditCIMG_0029CIMG_0080HBCIMG_0059-EditBW2014-04-10_0002IMG_0126CIMG_0082IMG_0036B
